Summer 2009/10 Season

Teams must play in their designated team colours (if two teams have the same colour strip one team, must wear an alternative colour (or bibs). This should be agreed by captains prior to the match).

Referees are to be provided by each team as per the schedule below. A team who fails to provide a referee as required will lose 3 points. Teams who do not field a team will lose 3 points.

Teams must comprise of at least 5 registered players from their team for a result to stand (otherwise the win is awarded to the opponent). Read the rules for more information.

Both referees and players should endeavour to get matches started on time. Failure to do so will result in the later games ending prematurely, due to bad light.

Players must wear appropriate footwear. Any players wearing inappropriate footwear will be asked to leave the pitch. View the Hockey Centre's footwear policy. Shin guards are not mandatory but are strongly recommended.

The National Hockey Centre in Lyneham has three full-size pitches. The Sunday Soccer League uses two of these (the two pitches furthest from the entrance). To ensure that games start on time please familiarise yourself with the pitch number you are playing on and be ready to take to the pitch as soon as the previous game finishes.

Referee help

Referees are responsible for officiating their assigned match, recording the score and sending results to results@sundaysoccer.org by midday on the Monday after the match. If a referee does not show for an assigned match, the assigned team will receive a 3-point penalty. For the late submission of results the team will receive a 1-point deduction per day late (up to a maximum of 5 points).
